Installation & Setup
Requirements
- Windows (only supported platform)
- Blender 5.0 or later
- Blendersync for Revit installed and reachable on the same machine or network
Enable the Sun Position add-on
Sun controls in the Links panel require Blender's built-in Sun Position add-on. It ships with Blender but isn't enabled by default. Enable it now so it's ready when you need it:
- Open Edit > Preferences > Add-ons.
- Search for
Sun Position. - Enable it.
Note: If Sun Position is not enabled, the Toggle Sun action in the Links panel will show a warning and do nothing.
Download and install
- Download the
.zipfile from blendersync.gotheresoftware.no. - In Blender, open Edit > Preferences > Add-ons.
- Click Install from Disk and select the downloaded
.zip. Blender will install the add-on and show it in the list. - Enable Blendersync for Blender.
Note: No activation or licensing step is required. The add-on is ready to use immediately after enabling.
Find the BSync panel
Once enabled, open the 3D Viewport, press N to open the sidebar, and select the BSync tab. The tab has five panels by default — Connection, Links, Materials, Families, and Quick Properties — arranged in the order you'll typically use them. A sixth Debug panel appears when Debug Mode is enabled in preferences.
