Installation & Setup

Requirements

  • Windows (only supported platform)
  • Blender 5.0 or later
  • Blendersync for Revit installed and reachable on the same machine or network

Enable the Sun Position add-on

Sun controls in the Links panel require Blender's built-in Sun Position add-on. It ships with Blender but isn't enabled by default. Enable it now so it's ready when you need it:

  1. Open Edit > Preferences > Add-ons.
  2. Search for Sun Position.
  3. Enable it.

Note: If Sun Position is not enabled, the Toggle Sun action in the Links panel will show a warning and do nothing.

Download and install

  1. Download the .zip file from blendersync.gotheresoftware.no.
  2. In Blender, open Edit > Preferences > Add-ons.
  3. Click Install from Disk and select the downloaded .zip. Blender will install the add-on and show it in the list.
  4. Enable Blendersync for Blender.

Note: No activation or licensing step is required. The add-on is ready to use immediately after enabling.

Find the BSync panel

Once enabled, open the 3D Viewport, press N to open the sidebar, and select the BSync tab. The tab has five panels by default — Connection, Links, Materials, Families, and Quick Properties — arranged in the order you'll typically use them. A sixth Debug panel appears when Debug Mode is enabled in preferences.
